Private 1:1 development with a premium, high-trust approach.
Academic ability matters. But the young people who stand out are often those who can communicate clearly, take initiative, present themselves with confidence and can demonstrate their ambition.
Northstar helps students develop those skills through private 1:1 skills development sessions, combining future planning, confidence-building, communication practice and practical action.
Direction
Helping students understand their strengths, interests and possible future pathways.
Expression
Teaching students to express themselves clearly, answer questions well and speak with maturity.
Confidence
Helping students become more comfortable in adult conversations, interviews and high-pressure moments.
Action
Turning ambition into practical next steps, from work experience and internships to applications and personal projects.

Northstar was founded by Nicholas Kiely, a Warwick Law graduate and future trainee solicitor at an international commercial law firm. Nicholas has a background in debating, public speaking, interviews and high-performance academic and professional environments.
Having seen how often confidence, communication and direction shape access to opportunity, he created Northstar to help young people build the skills that school does not always teach: the ability to speak well, think clearly, take initiative, secure top work-experience and move towards the future with purpose.
Many young people only start thinking seriously about their future once they reach university. By then, the competition for internships, work experience and career opportunities has already begun.
Northstar helps students start earlier, giving them the clarity, confidence and practical structure to make better decisions, pursue stronger opportunities and avoid drifting into the next stage without a plan.
Book a parent assessment to discuss where your child is now, what may be holding them back, and whether Northstar is the right fit.
